The CVBR applies to you if you were the victim of a crime committed in\u00a0Canada that caused you physical, psychological or financial harm. You\u00a0must also have reported the crime to the police.<\/p>\n
The Criminal Code defines behaviours that are considered criminal in\u00a0Canada. You are the victim of a criminal act if:<\/p>\n

En vertu de la Charte, ces instances sont tenues de se doter d\u2019un m\u00e9canisme d\u2019examen des plaintes qui pr\u00e9voit:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n La personne qui porte plainte doit r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la d\u00e9finition du terme \u00ab victime \u00bb ou \u00eatre admissible \u00e0 agir au nom d\u2019une victime.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Communiquez avec le minist\u00e8re ou de l\u2019organisme public concern\u00e9. Consultez leur site Internet pour en savoir davantage sur le m\u00e9canisme de plaintes:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Si la personne qui porte plainte n\u2019est pas satisfaite de la r\u00e9ponse obtenue, elle peut demander un r\u00e9examen de sa plainte au minist\u00e8re ou \u00e0 l\u2019organisme f\u00e9d\u00e9ral lui ayant fourni la r\u00e9ponse.
